2008 > In order to improve communications and find a remedy to the shortage of parking space, Potenza (the chief town of Basilicata region) has been equipped, over the last ten years, with a network of escalators, silos and lifts the likes of which are not to be found in any other European city. In the developing eastern area of Poggo Tre Galli, UE funds have sponsored and realized a few projects. The Oblique Park is one of them. The whole park has been divided in four terraced parts connecting with the matallic bented frame and stairs at the different levels. Every terrace houses low vegetation and benches. ITA > Per migliorare i collegamenti e sopperire alla penuria di parcheggi Potenza nell’ultimo decennio si è dotata di una rete di scale mobili, silos e ascensori che per dimensioni non è paragonabile a nessuna città europea. Nel quartiere in espansione di Poggio Tre Galli, ad est, sono stati finanziati e realizzati con fondi comunitari alcuni progetti tra cui il Parco obliquo. L’intero parco è stato frammentato in quattro terrazzamenti che si raccordano col curvo telaio metallico e la scala a diverse quote. Questi ospitano una bassa vegetazione e sedute per la sosta. Il guscio diviene un vero e proprio elemento caratterizzante il quartiere, la cui illuminazione notturna fornisce una visione fortemente architettonica all’intero parco.
